Meet Our Barn

Orrion Farms

Please note; Orrion Farms is private property. If you wish to take a tour of our facility please contact the team and we will be happy to show you around. Do not enter the property without permission or actions may be taken against you.

The CWU equestrian club has been given the privilege of using the Orrion Farms facility. The team has between 12 and 20 horses at any given time. The barn is 100% self care, meaning we do all of our own feeding, turnouts, and stall cleaning. Barn care is divided into three daily shifts:

- The AM shift- feeding horses between 6 and 8 am
- Turn Out shift- between 10am and 12pm all the horses are brought outside to their assigned pasture
- The PM shift- requires cleaning stalls, feeding the horses, cleaning the barn, and bringing the horses in between 4 and 7 pm.

Members who have horses at the barn have access to the arena from 6:30am to 9:00pm every day, unless Orrion requests use of the arena. As common courtesy for using someone else's facility, we do our best to keep the barn clean by making sure that nothing is left in the aisle way, the cross ties are swept, and the gravel aisle is raked every evening and watered once a week. For the club members we have a locked tack room for our saddles and other items and a spare stall for the things that don't fit in the tack room.
